    Nº 05 · About

    Shani Akirov, MSc

Shani is a pioneer of Lifestyle Psychology, an integrative framework that identifies root causes and bridges psychological, biological and lifestyle factors.

Her first venture, straight out of university, was Read Between The Lines, a London social enterprise supporting people with their mental health. Its board included a Camden councillor, later Mayor of Camden, and a Fortune 500 consultant who also mentored her. It didn't scale, but it taught her the lesson her work is built on: mental health can't be treated in isolation from the body and the way a person lives. It also set the philanthropic thread that runs through everything she does.

That lesson took her back to UCL, for a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology and then an MSc in Child Development. She qualified in personal training, nutrition and mental health first aid, trained in Lanserhof's medical method as a Medical Personal Trainer at Lanserhof at The Arts Club, and taught meditation at The Lanesborough Club & Spa.

Today she is the founder and CEO of Akirov Health, a global network of vetted clinics in natural, preventative and longevity health. Her forthcoming book, The Natural Way, brings Lifestyle Psychology to a broader audience.
